Westport, CT Real Estate: Home Sales on Track for Banner Year
2013 is shaping up to be a good year for real estate, in Westport, Connecticut. Single-family home sales posted a 30 percent increase during the first three months of the year, versus first quarter 2012. In spite of rising mortgage interest rates, robust gains continued through the next two quarters. By the close of the third quarter, 361 transactions had closed, only one behind the total single-family home sales for all of 2013 and more than the annual number of units sold in 2008 through 2011.

During the first half of October, an additional thirteen single-family homes sold. Coupling that with 51 pending sales, Westport is on track to post its best sales year since 2005.
