I had a friend that recently attended a Maroon 5 concert. (By the way I must admit I do love me some Adam Levine) She mentioned that all the people around her were using Zippo Lighter phone apps during one of the songs. Whatever happened to the days of real lighters?
I guess these days, there is an app for everything. Here are some of the best apps to assist you in your business. In an effort to give full disclosure, I am truly biased when it comes to Android phones, so these are Android apps.
Cardmunch Ap – This is a business card reader for your phone that lets you add contact info quickly into your phone—then just throw away the business cards.
Roost App – Gives you the ability to preschedule Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn postings way in advance to save you time.
CuePrompter App – A teleprompter tool for shooting videos and pre-writing your content.
Remember the Milk App – Task management tool that organizes your business and personal “to do” lists.
Evernote App – An easy way to save files, pdf’s, videos, articles and notes (to yourself) with one click. You can also create “category files” to easily find what you are looking for.
Dropbox App – Save photos, documents and videos. When you save your file on your phone, it will automatically transfer to your computers.
Shoeboxed App – Scans receipts, creates instant expense account, keeps track of travel and mileage.
Free Conference Calling App – Gives you the ability to initiate conference calls on your phone. Invite participants, record the audio, save as MP3 and share the contents with others.
Tip N Split App – So you are out to dinner and the waiter puts all the meals and drinks on one bill. This is a calculator to figure your portion and the tip based on a dropdown menu.
SpeakToIt Assistant App – Answers questions. Reminds you of appointments and important dates.
CamScanner App – Scan documents on your phone, which you can name and save. Good for documents, receipts, invoices, and whiteboard discussions. It allows you to crop documents too.
Individual Airline App – Depending upon which airline you use to travel, download their phone app. I normally fly Delta and my app keeps track of all trips booked, saves my boarding pass and notifies me about upcoming trips.
BathroomScout App – Find the nearest bathroom, anywhere in the world!
MapMyWalk App – Going on a hike? Need to walk to a building and find your way back to your parking spot? This app tells you how far you have walked. How fast. How many calories burned. And maps the route that you have taken.
Kayak App – Plan and organize your trips.
MyiBidder App – Easy way to shop ebay WITHOUT having to monitor the auction.
TaxiBeat App – Get a taxi wherever you are. Tap the map (where you are located) and a taxi driver will pick you up at no extra cost.
Lose It App – Helps you track calories, set a daily calorie budget, track your food and exercise.
