Esquimalt Fire Department Open House October, 19, 2013
As part of my involvement with the Esquimalt Lions, today I attended an open house at the Esquimalt Fire Hall, during their open house.
It is always great fun to get together with fellow Lions assist in the community with activities and to see all the little and bigger kids get all excited about seeing the Fire Trucks, getting a picture with Sparky and munching on a Hot dog.
In having all of this fun its easy to forget that The Esquimalt fire department Open House was mostly about Kids Fire-Prevention week and making parents and kids more aware of the dangers and ways to prevent fires in and or around the house.
Thanks to The Esquimalt Fire Department, we Lions had a great opportunity to meet and chat with them and so many in the community of Esquimalt.
From the amount of Hot dogs and pizza consumed, most of the people attending did not go home hungry….
Everybody that joined us and came by to say hi and or made a donation, thanks you so very much, it is very appreciated and we will make sure that both the Fire Department and your Esquimalt Lions will continue to Serve our community.
We hope to see you all at our Next Lions Activity in Esquimalt.
