When To Lower The Sale Price Of A Home

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

Men Different SpeciesThe difficulty in knowing WHEN to lower the sale price of a home comes from trying to accurately read the market. Are you getting enough regular showings and listening to the feedback? If priced NOT RIGHT you hear over and over again the market is screaming at you, you are too high. The fact in real estate is

The buyers determine price.

The second huge caution in moving price downward sooner rather than later is STUBBORNNESS. Either from pride OR needing to net some figure.

DO NOT let stubbornness get in the way or you have priced your home to SIT.

Yupperineeee, you are spot on, Mr. G. I've got a good buyer right now who's made an offer, but I WILL say that the seller just bought the home here at Fishhawk 6 years ago, paid top dollar and still owes money, SOOOOO.... another reason for higher pricing--wiggle room--we shall see what his counter does to the buyer. (He did ask, "you want to get paid, right??" Uh, YEAH.)

Gary, you are right that the buyers determine the price.  Sellers should price it right in the first place to get it sold quickly.

My wife says I am stubborn. But, I can only be as stubborn as she makes me be.

Stubbornness is a dead end road to nowhere.

Good luck and success.

Gary, reminds me of the old saying "know when to hold them and when to fold them!" Enjoy your day!

Hi Gary, How are you? I was on facebook and I came across you. I needed to reach out and say "hi."

It seems stubbornness is innate. If you find a cure for it, please let me know.

Many sellers do not understand the simple fact that buyers do indeed determine the price and their stubbornness will not change that!
