The Number One Reason I love Georgia!

Georgia has typically been a vibrant economy with great growth, as home to 14 to 16 Fortune 100 headquarters, you would expect that.  From 1982 when I moved to Georgia till the economic downturn Atlanta was a virtual lock for top three fastest growing cities.  This is obviously a great thing for real estate as demand increases value and diminishes supply, which appreciates property and drives new construction!  In 1996 Atlanta showcased to the world the progress it had made when it welcomed people from around the globe to the Centenial Olympic Games!  But these are not my main reasons for loving Georgia.  Atlanta has the Fox Theater that hosts outstanding Broadway shows, and the High Museum of Art which is world class.  It's home to the Atlanta Braves, we have an NBA team in the Hawks, and the Falcons have been much improved under Arthur Blanks ownership.  There are an abundance of state and local parks, and we are close to the Applalachian Mountains.  Lake Lanier is 5 minutes from my front door with more shore line than any other man made lake.  Housing prices and cost of living are among the best in the country and the climate is outstanding three and a half seasons a year.  Proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, Disney World, the Florida Gulf Coast, and even Washington DC within a reasonable drive are all pluses.  That's without mentioning Civil War Battle Fields, Historic Savannah, and Charleston just an hour or so away from there!  Yet this is not why I love Georgia.  There are the traditions, the Georgia Bulldogs, the "Classic City" of Athens, the Antebellum Trail, the Southern cooking and barbeque, not to mention the hospitality, but these are not why I love Georgia.  I met my wife off Ponce De Leon Rd at a Church Dance 14 years ago after going on a first date to Centenial Park, the Varsity and the Fox Theater.  We've raised our outstanding children here and made so many great memories in this great state!
