In product update news…
Fannie Mae will be doing away with the 97% Conventional program, even My Community will have a 5% down payment required. This program was an excellent choice for those strong buyers who may have been a little cash poor, but had a great credit profile, as the mortgage insurance was much more affordable than FHA MI, and still dropped off at 78% LTV. My Community is still a great option since the down payment can be a gift for that particular program. Please note that My Community does have income limits. We can continue to offer these products until around November 15 with a 3% down payment.
As of Wednesday, USDA was working on files received on 8/6. We should start to see these turn times shorten in the very near future. The number of files submitted for review has dropped off as well, so hopefully they will be caught up very soon.
