Halloween Pumpkin Patches in Carlsbad California and Nearby
The Halloween season is upon us and the increasingly popular pumpkin patches are popping up all over Carlsbad and nearby.
Pumpkin Patches have grown from simple pumpkin fields with roadside stands where you can wander around and select your pumpkin to elaborate affairs that might include rides, inflatable amusements, bounce houses, petting zoos, food and drinks, hayrides, corn mazes, games, and more.
And of course lots and lots of pumpkins and pumpkin accessories, gourds and Halloween items.
The big Halloween pumpkin patch in Carlsbad is at the Westfield Mall parking lot at the corner of El Camino Real and Marron Road. And it’s the only one I am aware of in town. Be aware it gets VERY crowded on the weekends.
At the Carlsbad Pumpkin Patch the gourds are mostly $1. Pumpkins start at $10 for the cannonball size up to $30 for the largest. Great deal – buy a few!!

Bates Nut Farm in Valley Center is always popular but reports I have heard is Carlsbad is better – but you don’t get to shop for all those nuts, either! Another big one is in Del Mar across from the Del Mar Fairgrounds.
