Welcome to Soxtober!!

inside fenway parkThose of us here in Canton MA and throughout Greater Boston - dare I say New England - are enjoying October baseball with our Red Sox in the World Series! (Sorry Kerrie!!) I grew up on Red Sox baseball and suffered through the bad times and enjoyed the good times.

Here is a photo taken this past summer inside "Friendly Fenway"!  What a great ballpark & a great place to see a game.

So, what a pleasure it was this morning to see this video from the Boston Symphony Orchestra.  A great way to start the day, it put a smile on my face.  Hope the music lovers and baseball fans all enjoy this one! My favorite parts are Seiji Ozawa and the "Sweet Caroline" ending!

Christine, my team is not in the running, so I would like to see the Red Sox take the series this year, they are off to a good start.

Kathy....they are off to a good start!

Kerrie....Well, you can root for the Cards...which is what I would do probably if the Yankees were in the Series.  And in any event, take a look at the video.  It will make you smile...and that will make you happy! :)

Fun post and there's nothing like a little rivalry.  This reminds of a true story.  It was the year twenty ought four and I was trying to sell a house to a buyer client . . . in the basement the owner had a shrine built -- to the NY Yankees.  I showed the house during the play offs that year.  Tensions were high . . . ball was tossed, and offer accepted!  My client was a die-hard Red Sox fan.  I didn't have to disclose that to the owners!  It pays to know things in this business.

Christine, I am a huge baseball fan and can understand how thrilled you are that the Red Sox are in the World Series. My gut says they win it.

I think Kerrie is being such a good sport. Just because she has no alternative . . . . oh, I gloat. Yes, I do.

Carla...funny that there were both Yankee and Sox fans all the way out in Portland!  Then again, Kerrie's a Yankee fan and she's in Seattle.  Either way, it is important to know these things!

Dan and Amy....I was rooting for Cleveland because I still have a soft spot for Terry Francona.  Of course, had they won I would have rooted for the Sox to beat them. :)

Eric...thanks!  Lots of fun to watch!

Brad....We need to gloat a little.  Kerrie can take comfort maybe in the tribute to Mariano Rivera at Fenway before tonight's game.

Christine  It is not nice to pick on the one who awards points!  Brad...you too.  Boiling blood could cost you points...  Enjoy the day

Very true John!  But I wasn't picking on her....I told her to root for the other team.  We love Kerrie....even if she is a Yankee fan!

Christine great post and nothing to be bashful about, Kerrie can become a Red Sox Fan:)) FYI I used to live in the South End and Flew back to Boston for the Ring Ceremony in 2004 and I also flew back to the last home game of 2012 so I could yell at the unnamed manager who is not there anymore:)) I saw John Henry and told him what I thought of that person....but all forgiven now, Endre
