Outside Magazine is Playing Favorites

Steamboat Springs has it all.

I'm always talking about what an incredible place Steamboat Springs is. From the performances at Perry Mansfield Performing Arts School, to riding bikes on the Yampa River Core Trail to ski jumping at the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club there is so much to do and see here. Steamboat really does have it all. But don't take my word for it, well-respected publications have taken note of our bounty of fun, beauty and activities too.

Last month, Dog Fancy Magazine named Steamboat Springs "Dog Town USA" stating that we are a "mile-high mecca for dogs and their owners". Every year it seems we get recognition for being one of the best ski areas in the nation, and rightfully so. Last year National Geographic ranked Steamboat a Top 25 Ski Town and the year before Ski Magazine readers voted us #8 in the top 20 ski resorts.

Most recently Outside Magazine acknowledged our "great terrain, good nightlife and plenty of off-mountain fun" by including us in their list of 20 favorite resorts organized by skier personality type. They felt that we best fit under "The Ring Leader" personality but we think we go well with all personalities - Family Adventurer, Spring Breaker, Powder Fiend and The Escapist. Outside Magazine recognized their favorite ski resorts and we are honored to be one of them.
