Is your idea of Halloween fun a family day at a pumpkin patch and kiddie parade or all-out haunted terror? Either way, there are plenty of Halloween events in and near Saint Johns, FL to suit all types of revelers. Below are some 2013 Halloween activities with more information available by clicking on the title of each event.

Halloween Costume Parade and Trick or Treating in St. Augustine 2013: Gather your ghosts, princesses and pumpkins and head to St. Augustine on Sunday, Oct. 27th when Ancient City Tours sponsors a costume parade and contest followed by safe trick-or-treating on the streets of St. Augustine.pumpkins

Halloween Spooktacular at Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens: Through Halloween night the Jacksonville Zoo will be open some evenings for spooktacular family fun including a pumpkin patch, bounce houses and slides, dj, candy stations and a scare zone.   

Creatures of the Night Trick-or-Treating and Fun at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological ParkHave you ever trick-or-treated among ‘gators, turtles, birds and reptiles? If not now is your chance! On October 25, 26 and 31 the Alligator Farm will be open in the evening for trick-or-treating, fun, raffles and alligator feedings.

Connors A-Maize-Ing Acres: There is lots to do at this farm in Hilliard. In addition to the corn maze there is a cow train, pumpkin patch, barnyard animals to feed, a corn cannon, horseback rides, a cow train and a good old-fashioned dirt pile.

Corn Maze: Sykes and Cooper Farms in Elkton has a 9-acre corn maze, farm animals, a cow train, pumpkins and live entertainment on the weekends through Nov. 3.

Amazing Grace Crop Maze: This private farm in Green Cove Springs opens its barn doors around Halloween and has a cow train, mini hay bale maze (even in the dark!), country store, games and music.

haunted houseHaunt Nights Haunted Houses at Adventure Landing in Jacksonville Beach: The braver souls among us may want to check out these three haunted houses including Carnieville (scary clowns, anyone?), Apocalypse 3D and Dark Fables. These are definitely not for the weak of heart!

The Hoard Haunted Experience: If haunted attractions are your thing you will want to check out The Hoard at the Clay County Fairgrounds in Green Cove Springs. Open from 7pm until midnight on select nights through Halloween, go there if you dare! 

Zombieville Part II: Terror Under The Big Top:  This unique haunted house experience in St. Augustine features a live zombie (paintball) shooting gallery. Leave your fears at home!

If those activities aren't enough for you keep your eye out for the many fall festivals, pumpkin patches, and fairs which are held this time of year at various churches, schools and community centers.
