The Digital House Hunt study, a joint report between NAR Research and Google, shows an opportunity for Realtors to market to home shoppers and stand out from the competition.
- New home buyers are placing a greater emphasis on videos that showcase homes and communities.
- 86% of home shoppers are watching videos to find out more about specific places to live.
- 70% of home buyers are touring the inside of homes via video.
- Finding an agent and agent related searches on YouTube grew 46% year-over-year.
- Home buyers who purchased previously owned homes are more likely to bring their online research offline by walking through or driving by a home they viewed online.
According to NAR, 73% of sellers say they would list their home for sale with a Realtor that would use video to market their home yet less than 3% of REALTORS® {nationally} currently use video in their real estate business. This HUGE gap creates an opportunity to stand out from the competition.
