As a child, I grew up in Shenandoah. I have great memories of riding my bike to school every morning at Shenandoah Elementary. I remember going to the BREC park with all of my friends who also lived in Shenandoah for our weekly game of football! I spent my summer at the country club playing golf, tennis and swimming. The country club has been re-named to Southern Oaks Athletic Club and has been transformed into tennis and swim club. The golf course was sold and developers created another fantastic subdivision, Greentrails at Shenandoah.
