Best Nanaimo Home Decorating Tips
The festive Fall season is underway, and what better way to spread the cheer than by sprucing up your home?
Here are 3 Festive Tips for decorating your Nanaimo home this Fall 2013:
#1 Seasonal Paint
Did you know that Emerald Green was voted THE colour of 2013? You may have noticed this colour sprouting up in vases, window treatments and more - and emerald green paint makes a perfect fall colour as well. If you think having an entire wall painted green is a bit much, consider incorporating the colour in area rugs, bud vases, lamp shades or wall trim.
#2 Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere
Nothing says' fall is here' like the warm orange glow of a pumpkin! Use them as a 'welcome sign' near your front door, or create crafty pumpkins to place on your fireplace mantle, or to use as wall hangings. If you've got a Fall Holiday party planned, why not carve out a big pumpkin and use it as a serving bowl for your favorite holiday cheer?
#3 Scarecrows
Scarecrows also make an excellent fall holiday decoration, and they're easy to make even if you don't think you're that artistic. Just gather some corn stalks and tie them together with rope or twine, then lean them against your house or stand them up in your yard. For a fancier scarecrow, just fill up some old clothes when you're done raking the leaves, put a hat on your scarecrow and lean him (or her) up near the front door!
