We have a vacation home we visit in the winter months in Yuma, Arizona. We love it out there! The home is located in the Foothills community, where access to the desert washes and other off-road riding is immediate.
In the summer months we lock up the house and secure it because we won't be there for a while. But every year when we go back, we see streams coming from the ceiling! They first started off as short cones, but if they are given the opportunity they will get longer and longer.
Our first call.... the exterminator. Why? Because those seemingly strings of dust is in actuality termite poop! Yup, if you find one or more of these, its time to call someone to treat your home and protect it. I thought I'd include a picture of the longest termite stream we've found:
