It's hard to believe after what seemed to be a long hot Northern Virginia summer that Fall has arrived in Northern Virginia. With fall comes the chance to see beautiful foliage not only in your backyard but within a two hour radius of Northern Virginia you can see fabulous fall leaves in mass.
Here are some of the favorite local places to check out fall colors:
Burke Lake Park
Rock Creek Park
Great Falls Park
Mason Neck State Park
If you want to enjoy a sweeping display of fall colors you can also head to Shenandoah National Park. Driving the 105 mile Skyline Drive with incredible vistas along the winding roads is without a doubt the highlight of the fall season for anyone in the Northern Virginia area.
Hope to see you out in the local parks before all the leaves are gone.
