In my opinion, I think Realtors and buyers are looking for a home inspector who is thorough, and has the knowledge to back it up. This sounds superficial, but a clean, professional looking report is great too. I had a buyer choose a home inspector that they knew through church, and he faxed me a hand-written report. Needless to say, I think it impacted the seller's response to our requested repairs!
