Carlsbad Village Faire 2013 is November 3rd in Carlsbad CA
Yes, arts and crafts lovers, it’s time again for the famous Carlsbad Village Faire. The 40th anniversary will be celebrated this Sunday November 3rd.
The 2013 Carlsbad Village Faire will take place in downtown Carlsbad Village, on the north side of Carlsbad Village Drive along State Street and Grand Avenue, as well as on adjacent streets.
The Carlsbad Village Faire, held twice a year in the Spring and Fall, is supposedly the largest one-day outdoor fair in the country – a pretty impressive statistic for our little seaside town. Our weather is pretty pleasant in Carlsbad at this time of year, and if history repeats itself you can expect a crowds of over 100,000.
The Carlsbad Village Faire 2013 will open at 8 am and will run until 4 pm. With the upcoming holiday season, you can expect some pretty good shopping with 900+ vendors offering everything you can imagine. The Carlsbad Village Faire is truly a mobile outdoor mall!
Kids and parents will certainly have lots of fun – the Carlsbad Village Faire offers rides, tons of food of all kinds (I’m told dozens of foodie booths and a pancake breakfast at the Train Depot starting at 7 am) and plenty of music, including a classic beer and wine garden with live bands and large screen TV hosted by the Rotary Club of Carlsbad.
Even if you get tired of all the Carlsbad Village Faire vendors, you can still visit dozens of Carlsbad Village shops and restaurants along State Street, Grand Avenue and Carlsbad Village Drive – there is probably something to please every member of the family no matter how long you stay.
As with other Carlsbad Fairs, parking is a challenge, so unless you have the patience to spend time driving around looking for parking, use one of the 2 shuttles, running from the Sears store at the Westfield Shopping Plaza near the 78 and El Camino Real, and the Poinsettia Coaster Station on Avenida Encinas just north of Poinsettia off the 5 freeway. Shuttles will run every 15 minutes.
