Gaithersburg Police Foundation Fundraiser, November 6th
Kentlands residents are encouraged to support the Gaithersburg Police Foundation Fundraiser that is scheduled for November 6, 2013. The Kentlands Citizens Assembly and the area residents have a very special relationship with the local police officers and they deserve our continued support.
Some residents were able to attend this week’s Coffee with a Cop event. It is good to have strong personal relationships with the police officers that are always available to protect our community and our families.
This is the notice from the City of Gaithersburg:
The Gaithersburg Police Foundation (GPF) will hold a fundraising event at Buffalo Wild Wings on Wednesday November 6, 2013 from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. The restaurant is located at 668 Clopper Road in Gaithersburg.
Buffalo Wild Wings will donate 10 percent of its food purchases on November 6 to the Gaithersburg Police Foundation. McGruff the Crime Dog will be on hand between 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. One of Gaithersburg’s Police K-9 Units will conduct a demonstration at 7 p.m. Funds raised by the GPF have been used to purchase and train two of the City’s K-9 Units. The public is encouraged to drop by for a fun time, good food and an opportunity to help support the Gaithersburg Police Foundation.
Formed as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in January 2008, the Gaithersburg Police Foundation seeks to support the Gaithersburg Police Department with its mission to provide quality services to the residents of Gaithersburg. The Foundation raises funds to offer educational opportunities for the police department staff, enhances recruitment and retention of officers, provides logistical support to officers, provides technology assistance, and helps to finance community outreach initiatives.
