Jenny-Thanks for covering this concept. This type development has not come to our area yet. But I can see how a developer would certainly want to consider using it to get greater number of housing units into a space.

Hi Wayne - Small lot subdivisions are really coming into their own all over Los Angeles.  We have a ton of new development in Echo Park.  The city of Glendale is considering adopting a similar code to allow for high density development too.  With so little open space, it's the only logical way to add single family homes rather than condominiums.
