Thanks Debbie for the post. Remember the little details matter whey you are listing your home and making it available for showings. Not only should your bulbs all be working.... take it one step farther and make sure a all the bulbs match in a room. All light have different color tempratures and if its drastic its very noticeable.
Also if a room is not lit well, add additional lighting. You can get floor accents for dark corners or you can choose to add a floor lamp. Remeber this time of year the after work buyers are starting to show up as it is getting darker out.
Burnt Out Bulbs May Say More to Buyers than You Think.
Lately I have shown a few Clarksville homes for sale and they had light fixtures with burnt out bulbs and even some missing bulbs. So what's the big deal?
It makes it harder to show homes when the lighting is insufficient especially with the days shorter and more gray days. It makes a buyer wonder if something may be wrong with the light fixture itself. It causes buyers to think and wonder what else may be wrong or what is the seller trying to make less noticeable.
I even had one Clarksville buyer say, If the seller is so cheap that he didn't replace his light bulbs, then he probably hasn't maintained the bigger things that have gone wrong either.
Just saying...Burnt Out Bulbs May Say More to Buyers than You Think.
