Surprised to find that 70% of Appraisers workload comes from AMC's

I feel blessed today. I found out per a recent poll that almost 70% of Appraisers workload comes from AMC's (Appraisal Management Companies). I am blessed because more than 90% of our business comes from Lenders or Personal requests for appraisals. Such as Pre-Listing or Pre-Sale appraisals. 

We do not have to deal with reduced fees, rushed turn times and unreasonable requests when it comes to appraisal orders. 

The lenders that I work with realized early on during HVCC implementation that it was NOT mandatory to use AMC's. Many lenders thought they had to or they just did not want to deal with moving the appraisal ordering process within their company into the hands of those that would not have a vested interest in the outcome of the appraisal report. Lenders could still chose their Roster of appraisers as long as they were rotated during the appraisal ordering process. 

So I say a BIG Thank you to the Lenders that I work with....Suntrust, Fidelity Bank, Guaranty Bank, Shelter Mortgage and to all the REALTORS who refer business our way for Pre-Listing and Pre-Sale business. We very much appreciate your referral business.
