Scroll Down for Your Daily Top Pro “TO DO” Real Estate Form
Time Management is probably one of the most difficult areas to control in real estate. That’s why I’ve created a simple form for you to use every single day. This is one of the habits that Top Producers have, meaning they write down what they want to accomplish. I’ll show you how focused you can be, getting items done so that you can have some balance in your life!
The first area is ‘Urgent’. Write down your urgent appointments. Breakdown everything that you need to do that is urgent in the next day or two, (usually this form will last two days). The problem with doing everything urgent is that you start living everybody else’s life, never really enjoying your life because you don’t do anything that’s important to you. So I would like you to write down some other things that are really important here. Is it to call your friends or family members, to go to the gym, to read a little bit of a section of a book? Write down items that are very important to you, because we want to make sure that you’re adding those important items to your life on a daily basis.
Now scroll down and think about all of those many projects you need to do. Look under ‘Projects’. Is there a postcard project you need to get done? Do you need to set up some autoresponders or automated CRM follow-up systems? Write it down, and then think about who it is that you could possibly delegate this to.
To the right, you’ll see ‘Personal’. Do you need to make a doctor’s appointment to stay up on your health? Take your dog to the vet? Pick up mail? Take things to the cleaners? You’ll be amazed at how much you accomplish. Instead of having to figure out what you should do, by putting your stuff in the right section that it goes, this will help you reach the top much faster.
Look at this area underneath. In addition to all of these ‘to do’s, the biggest problem Realtors have, the reason they go out of business or don’t do as well, is because with all of those items you’re writing down, you think you’re in business. But you’re really not open for business. These are the high-touch items that you need to do on a daily basis: call your sphere, how many expired calls you’re going to make, for sale by owners, IVR, buyer calls, note cards. So set your goal, and then also look on the outside area. You see the numbers, from 1-50? I’ll show you how this works: let’s say, for example, you make a phone call. That would be one cross-off on the exterior numbers. Under ‘Track’ are the items that qualify to cross off the numbers. Face-to-face counts as two, so you can cross off two. Hand-written notes also count as two. Your social media must be a direct contact, not just posting something on social media but actually engaging in a conversation with your center of influence. You can cross off a number anytime you have a conversation about real estate.
So go ahead and do it right now. Take a moment to print your Top Pro Accomplishments To Do Form. Write down the things you need to do in the urgent section. Be sure to put down the important. List your projects so they stay in front of your mind. And definitely choose who you could delegate this too.
