Question: What would be the most significant, least expensive TIME SAVING thing I could do to expand my BUSINESS - without the help of an assistant? What would be the first step you would suggest? Or, is an assistant essential for success?
When you are starting off the last thing that I think anyone needs is the financial pressure of an assistant.
I think an agent should be at "at least" two to three transactions per month before they should even consider hiring an assistant.
I think the most effective method of jump-starting your business is targeting Expired Listings, at least it has been for me over the years.
I use a initial 3-7 page sales letter and then follow-up with a series of 7-10 postcards, and then follow-up with a postcard every twenty-one days. If I have e-mail addresses, I also supplement this with e-mails, but most of the time I only have names and addresses fro the expired listings.
If you have an organized system you shouldn't spend more than thirty-minutes per day, without an assistant.
You can expect to spend less than 6.50 per expired for an entire campaign from the first letter to the last initial postcard.
