Is your family growing? Is your "starter home" beginning to feel cramped? You may want to consider a few ideas while searching for the "right fit".

Make Room For The Future
When searching for a new home, you need to be able to see yourself in it for the next five to seven years. This will allow you to build equity and add more value with possible improvements such as added landscaping or updating a room.
Make Room To Grow
You want to have the option of a new baby or extended family that may want to spend a weekend on occassion. If this isn't possible at first, find a floor plan that you can add onto later on.
Be Flexible
Consider a home with rooms that can serve more than one function. For example, an extra bedroom or bonus room that is adaptable over the years between a playroom, office or man cave.
Check Out The Neighborhood
Don't just pay attention to the floor plan, make sure the surrounding neighborhood will suit your taste as well. Is it convenient to work and schools? Is the community too close to busy thorofares or have noisy neighbors? Make sure it will suit your needs for the long haul.
