Bringing The Heat!

1 November and 82 degrees in Morgan Hill and beyond!

Smiling Sunshine

It may be hard to believe, but it's been a very comfortable day here!

That got me thinking about weather trends and how much they fluctuate.  Weather is as difficult to predict on a daily basis as the real estate market.  That should be evident to anyone who's left home with an umbrella only to turn the air conditioning on.  Likewise, will that home still be available tomorrow or should you act now?

For fun, I pulled up the historic averages reported by Intellicast and here's what I found:

  Average Record
Where Low High Low High

Gilroy 46 73 32 (1961) 86 (1966)

Hollister 44 73 34 (1989) 87 (1997)

Morgan Hill 46 73 32 (1961) 86 (1966)

San Martin 46 73 32 (1961) 86 (1966)

(Temperatures are degrees farenheit)

As I drove from Morgan Hill to Hollister to pick up keys for a home that closed escrow today I noticed my car thermometer read 82 degrees.  Not bad considering the forecast was for a high of 75.

Leaving Hollister to preview 7779 Isabella Way in Gilroy for my open house tomorrow I again noted the comfortable temperature of 82.  Pretty stable.

As I meandered through San Martin neighborhoods I was delighted to see all was well and the temperature was holding at 82 degrees.

Not a bad way to end an afternoon and switch into evening gear to show homes to buyers who want to buy now.  I'll recommend they bring jackets since we're headed towards that average of 46 degrees as the sun goes down - or so the trend would indicate.

Regardless of how the weather is where you are, I wish you the best!

As always, let's foresee the possibilities . . . and get results!

It was in the 70's here today.  I absolutely love living in the south, just for this reason.

Hi Kathy,  Thank you for stopping by and commenting.  I've lived in Tampa, Florida and in Marietta, Georgia  and remember many great things about the south.  Of course I remember the bugs too!  We'll be cooling off here very soon and rains will hopefully be better this year.  Enjoy your weekend!

Rebecca:  Send some of that warmth to the Midwest.  Although we've not had extreme cold, as of yet ... the chill and dampness has set in.  I'm already missing the 80's.  Both in temperatures ... and on the golf links!

Hi Gene, Sure wish I could share with everyone!  It's not too hot or cold and it's keeping people out and about.  We do need rain though . . . soon I hope.  Best to you and stay warm!  Thank you for stopping by and leaving your comment.
