Andy Williams Tribute

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, so goes the song that "Mr. Christmas", that is, Andy Williams sings his classic Christmas tune.

Andy Williams was honored today in Branson Missouri as the Christmas season in Branson Missouri officially began. Andy loved Christmas and the music of the season. Every year his Christmas show was spectacular and was a "must-see".

The saying in Branson was 'it's not Christmas until Andy says it is". Well it began today with Andy's Moon River Theater hosting it's first Christmas tree lighting dedication. 

The Lennon Sisters, The Osmonds, along with other Branson entertainers will perform Andy's signature song, "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" before the Christmas tree is lit at his Moon River Theater.

Branson Landing also began a new tradition with a "Most Wonderful Time of the Year Parade' on Saturday to honor Andy Williams.  The parade features the local bands of the area, with local entertainers serving as Master of Ceremonies. There will be a presentation to his wife Debbie and brother Don.

 

Andy Williams opened his Moon River Theater in 1992. Andy always loved to showcase new talent on his live television shows as well as his Moon River Theater shows.  

Andy Williams was a vital part of the Branson entertainment and community. Ozark Mountain Christmas was very special to Andy and Branson honors his memory.

 Ozark Mountain Christmas in Branson is listed as a Top 10 Christmas displays in the United States.
