Daylight saving to end in Sandy UT, and other places too

Spring forward.. Fall back was supposed to take us into a better system of time keeping. Or is it change for change sake. Have we achieved anything?

It's called daylight saving. It could have been called time theft. An hour of our time stolen last spring by government edict, and now re-bestowed on us, seemingly quite arbitrarily. Anyway it ends in the morning

A couple of years ago, the return of the hour in Sandy UT was tied to General Conference ~ the first weekend of October. Now it is decreed as the first Sunday in November. Sunday morning 2am becomes 1 am, when most of us are asleep.

The extra month of wrong time was supposed to be of major benefit. For whom? Not a single person has been able to give me a benefit. Not even less fading of carpet, cows getting better television watching times, longer growing periods ~ nothing proffered. Perhaps we are being softened up for a bigger grab, a permanent situation of a mandated change.

My computer clock changed last Sunday - with ensuing chaos of determining local time for webinars etc. Various posts on Social Media indicated a similar change drawing the ridicule of trolls.

Just a reminder - 2am becomes 1am tomorrow morning.  I'm changing before retiring.

Monday morning scenarios for 10am meeting you've called:

. They were all there at 9am, and gave up on you

. They are all Utahns, where being late is a highly cultivated standard business practice.

Hi Larry, The time change is wasted on me, I get up in the dark and it will still be that way, :-)

Patricia - like being on permanent jet lag. HI and AZ will no doubt welcome us all back to reality. My home state of Queensland in Australia, experimented with Daylight Saving once before abandoning it entirely.

William - to the beat of your own drum. Hardly wasted effort. Charge on.

Quite frankly I think it's a crazy idea and it messes up my biological clock for weeks.

Roger - I know the feeling, and we are all one year older than last time.
