What's the Best Ice Cream in Texas?

By
Real Estate Agent with DFW FINE PROPERTIES 0506509

If you're moving to Texas you may as well know that the best Ice Cream is Blue Bell. Oh, you will find many different brands, such as Ben & Jerry's, Dryer's, Haagen Daez, Braums, Breyers, Cold Stone Creamery, Star Bucks Ice Cream, etc.; but when it comes to what is the number one ice cream in Texas, it's Blue Bell. Vanilla is still it's best seller and if you want a topping, anything on top of vanilla ice cream is delicious.

The original plant is in Brenham, Texas located in Washington County or East/Central Texas. If you want to see some gorgeous Texas wildflowers, I recommend Brenham in the spring time. If you want to taste the best ice cream in Texas, you can find Blue Bell Ice Cream in every city in the State of Texas. As Thanksgiving draws near, be sure to serve Blue Bell's Vanilla ice cream with a slice of home made apple pie or pumkin pie will do too!

Hi Patricia, I think I recall that it is opined to be the best ice cream. Are the Blue Bells ( wild flowers ) also the state flower?

Good morning, Patricia. If I recall correctly, there is a Blue Bell ice cream plant here in the Nashville area. Sadly though, ice cream is not on my list of dietary delights anymore.  – LOL

You've made me want to try Blue Bell Ice Cream. This is the first I've heard of it...

Several weekends ago, I had my first icecream in quite some time. It was from Cold Stone. I chose a rich vanilla with peanut butter. Oh YUM!

Patricia I have not heard of Blue Bell ice cream before, but I will take your word for it that it better than the others you mentioned.  Of the ice creams I have eaten, my favorite is Baskin-Robins.

Mmmm, Patricia, now you have me craving pumpkin pie and vanilla ice ceam!  The Ben & Jerry's factory is about fifteen minutes from my home.  All the tourists always want to stop in there for the tour.  I prefer the small local mom and pop ice cream shops myself.  We have one decorated in 1950's decor with black and white photos of Elvis, Maarilyn Monroe, etc.

Michael, I have not heard of Turkey Hill ice cream. It sounds intriguing! Yum! Yum!

Lisa, I visited Ben & Jerry's the last time I was in VT. That factory is a favorite of mine!!! Oh... what I wouldn't do for ice cream directly from the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream factory!!!
