Real Estate Auctions: The Real Deal
This is the title of one of the many sessions that I plan to attend at the NAR/WCR (National Association of REATORS® & Women’s Council of REALTORS®) conventions this week in San Francisco.
This is my first national convention for both groups and I am psyched! I have studied the schedules and added sessions and events to my “Event Planner” and my Google Calendar. Classes, Networking Events, spending time in both the WCR Booth and the RealEstateAuctions.com Booth, wandering the trade show portion of the event. So much to do! My plan is to absorb as much information as possible. I am excited about the opportunities. It helps that the convention is within a reasonable distance of my town, Spokane, WA. Less travel time and lower air fares, both due to proximity made a huge difference in making this trip possible.
Although there is only one session available on the differences and benefits of real estate auctions; NAR has embraced auctions as a credible method of buying and selling real estate. There is information available at NAR’s website http://www.realtor.org/auction and they also have a facebook page supporting auction sales http://www.facebook.com/NARauction. The facebook page is all about the NAR Auction Program. The NAR Auction program provides training and support that helps real estate professionals learn about the benefits of using auction as a marketing tool for selling and purchasing property.
