Stories about "The U.S. Real Estate Market" are irrelevant.  In each city in America -- and on a street by street level -- real estate markets can be vastly different.

Your right, even homes in subdivisions across the street from each other can be in a total different real estate market.

There is another post this morning that highlights the same issue you are blogging about. i think the more this is brought out the more people will begin to understand that different markets are doing differently. Thanks for the post. It would have been nice to see Atlanta and your area which is a little closer to home

The problem seems to be that we have a national media. I feel that our media has a fallen into a "monkey see, monkey do" pattern. It seems to me that they do not even research half of their stories anymore, they just get the information from some other news source without even trying to verify if it is correct. Your point is right non the money.

This is absolutely true and sometimes it's not even a whole zip code away, but 2 areas within the same zip can have different markets.
