The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection's Osborne Homestead Museum located in Derby, Connecticut is the former estate of Francis Osborne Kellogg a business women, conservationist, and philanthropist who was very influential in the Naugatck Valley during her life from 1876-1956. The estate is on listed on the National Register of Historic Places and displays the original contents of te estate. The museum offers guided tours ad hikes on the surrounding grounds. A wonderful place to visit during the holiday season talented garden clubs from Connecticut decorate all the rooms in this historic homestead, you are sure to enjoy the sights and sounds of a traditional holiday celebration. If you are a resident at Pond Spring Village we are planning a group trip Friday December 6. We are planning to meet at the clubhouse at 4 PM and we will follow the tour with dinner at Brookside Inn in Oxford. Not a resident of Pond Spring Village??? We are an active adult community located in Beacon Falls Connecticut. Our duplex style homes are built with an open floor plan and come standard with a one car garage. Our community is proud to be active and excursions like this are happening year round!
Additional events taking place in November alone are the Current Evens Meeting (November 6), English High Tea (November 8), The Chili and Cornbread Supper (November 15), Bingo November 17), Book Club (November 20) Pasta and Speaker Night (November 22), Trim the Tree Brunch (December 7) and of course our Annual Christmas Party (December 20).
