FALLING FOR TIPPECANOE
Burnett's Creek at the Tippecanoe Battlefield Park
Burnett's Creek is a wading creek that forms the western boundary of the Battle of Tippecanoe, which was fought in November 1811 between Native American forces led by Tecumseh's half-brother, The Prophet, and U.S. government and militia forces led by General William Henry Harrison.
This is the view that Harrison's forces would have had right before dusk when Native American forces attacked just before dawn the next morning on November 7th 1811.
The water still casts a blood reddish hue every fall during the anniversary of the Battle of Tippecanoe!
