The proposed Colorado school tax was proundedly defeated in Tuesday's election as 66% of voters said "No!" This effort to reform school finance in 20 years would have reset state and local school shares based on factors such as median income. Although my children are grown, I personally supported the amendment as I believe our children are our greatest asset and we must do everything to provide them with tools to succeed.....including art, music, and physical education.
