In September of 2013 my family got together for a long overdue reunion of sorts. We left Morgan Hill on a Monday and by the time we arrived in Reno, Nevada, an investor needed two offers put together on homes we'd looked at; an offer came in on a listing and a potential client needed an assessment of their home value. What an exciting evening that promised to be!
Armed with my Lenovo ThinkPad (sorry, I'm not a Apple consumer) I set out to work in a Reno hotel with DocuSign at my side. Not only was I able to process all the transactions, I also learned more about both my trusty Lenovo and DocuSign.
When working out of my office, I have the ability to scan documents in any combination best suited for the task at hand. One feature of DocuSign that I find extremely helpful is being able to upload multiple independent files so they become seamless to the receiving signer.
It still takes attention on both my part and that of the signer to review all documents and sign in the appropriate locations, but confusion is reduced.
Talk about a great way to bridge a distance and overcome scheduling difficulties. Electronic signatures are an advantage when properly managed.
Back to the reunion, we checked out of the hotel in Reno and headed to our destination. We had a fabulous time and a long overdue in-person visit. Sorry DocuSign, you can't replace that special experience, but electronic signatures helped give us more time to enjoy it!
I'll be sharing more about the home in the picture and the special people who live there in the coming months.
As always, let's foresee the possibilities . . . and get results!
