When putting a home on the market, it pays to stage!
A professional stager can offer invaluable advice on how to set a home to appeal to the masses. However, sometimes time and cost associated with a professional sager can be a burden to the seller. Luckily, I have some tips to share on home staging from my time working with professionals.
- Do not stage your own home, but seek advice from your REALTOR®. Most homeowners are used to their homes appearance and it becomes difficult to see the flaws. If you can't view something objectively, then you will be unable to market it effectively.
- De-clutter! Only 10% of homebuyers can visualize the potential of a home. Removing your personal items will allow buyers to see the potential of your home. LESS IS MORE!
- Neutrals sell homes. From walls to floors, neutral colors will offer buyers a blank canvas where they can visualize themselves in the home.
