Veteran's Day, Denver, CO, 80221, Civic Center Park, Homes for Heroes

The Blue Sky Home Group is very excited to participate in the Veteran's Day festivities in Denver tomorrow! 

The day will kick off at 8am with the 5^th Annual Denver Veteran’s Day Run.  The 5k race will begin on the Auraria Campus, and all proceeds from it will benefit the Cadet Community Leadership Association and the Russell Rippetoe Foundation.

Next on the agenda is the Annual Veteran’s Day Parade, which will begin at the Pepsi Center at 10am and continue along 14^th St, all the way to Civic Center Park.  There will be a short festival with food trucks and tents at the park after the parade.

 At 11:30am, a more somber atmosphere will take over Civic Center Park as the Colorado Tribute to Veterans puts on a remembrance ceremony.  The highlight of the ceremony will be a roll reading of all Colorado heroes lost in Iraq and    Afghanistan.

Following the remembrance ceremony a longer festival will take place back on the Auraria Campus until 7pm, organized by the Metro State College ROTC.  Activities include: live music, food, vendors, face painting and a bouncy castle. The day will come to an end with a large fireworks display at 6pm.
