How many of you watched Nik Wallenda’s historic tightrope walk across the Grand Canyon during the summer? With no net. With no tether. Casually dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, this 34 year old performer significantly upped the ante on dare-devil feats, fulfilling a lifelong dream to cross the canyon. Wallenda performed the stunt on a five-centimetre-thick steel cable, 450 metres above the river on the Navajo Nation near the Grand Canyon. He took just over 22 minutes, pausing and crouching twice as winds whipped around him so that he could get ‘the rhythm out of the rope.’ Wallenda didn’t wear a harness and stepped slowly and steadily throughout. He jogged and hopped the last few steps under conditions that were way more windy than he’d anticipated.
"Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase." -- Martin Luther King, Jr.
To each his own. My dream isn’t to walk a 1,500 foot wire a mere two bottle caps wide with nothing but a sure step and confidence in my balance between me and a 1,500 foot plunge to certain death. There was nothing certain about the outcome. In fact, Wallenda’s great-grandfather, Karl Wallenda, fell during a performance in Puerto Rico and died at the age of 73, and several other family members, including a cousin and an uncle, perished while performing wire walking stunts. While I don’t really understand the compulsion to do something so dangerous, I do understand about dreams and goals, and I have to say that watching Wallenda cross that gorge, with footage that was dizzying to the watcher let along Wallenda himself, was inspiring to say the least. Here is a young man with incredible focus and skill, and powerful faith. Wallenda had trained for years for this crossing, and significant science went into the construction of the rope and how it was affixed to either side of the canyon. (The crossing was sponsored, and broadcast live, by The Discovery Channel.) He trained in simulated winds up to 55 mph; trained in every condition possible to prepare him for every foreseeable circumstance. Still, for most of his walk, which he admits was more challenging than he anticipated, he spoke out loud in an audible conversation with God, thanking him, praising him, asking him to steady the rope and still the winds. One of the newscasters, Willie Geist of "MSNBC and "Today", quipped to Wallenda after he’d safely reached the other side that he could tell he felt confident when he "stopped thanking Jesus and started thanking people at the Discovery Channel."
“Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.” -- Mother Teresa
Wallenda made it clear in the crossing that he was relying on a higher power than himself to get him to the other side. Now while I’d never presume to put my system on a level with God, I want to borrow this concept this concept for a minute. When agents who use my system falter, it’s usually because they “get in their own way”, either by overthinking a part of the system (such as an ad) and making changes to the copy or the look of it, or by refusing to let go of ineffective, traditional, old school methods that effectively tie their hands behind their backs. It truly doesn’t have to be that complicated. You don’t have to reinvent anything; you just have to implement it. Copy it exactly and have faith that the blueprint we hand you will create the business and life you desire.
What would happen to your real estate career if you applied the same kind of focus and faith that Wallenda did? What would happen if you took advantage of the turn-key real estate marketing system I can hand to you, “got out of your own way” and simply started checking things off the list, running the real estate ads we give you (without question), learning the Universal Call Back Script we give you (word for word, by heart, without changing a single word). You would be successful, that’s what would happen. You’d be able to weather any storm, best your competitors, convert your prospects, make some serious money. Maybe, like me, you have no interest in walking on air, but I’ll bet you do have a burning desire for the significant wealth and freedom that success in this industry can provide you.
You should have faith in my system. Thousands of agents have proven, without doubt, that it can give you the life you yearn for. We hold many free, half day seminars across the country if you want to learn more about my system and you can search the current schedule here.
