Never hesitate to ask for business!
Recently I was out showing homes with my client in a Littleton neighborhood. As I was opening the door, I noticed another car pull up and park across the street which made be believe there was another showing scheduled at the same time. I proceeded to show the home and when we left, the car was gone.
As we drove around the block, I noticed the same car parked in front of another home on the market. I slowed down and thinking it was another realtor, jokingly said, "We have got to stop meeting like this!" and indicated that we had finished our showing at the previous home. The driver laughed and thanked me....then went on to say "I know you are with a client, but would you be able to show us the house?"
We exchanged business cards....and I now have a new client!
