Last week, I took the opportunity to do something I hadn’t done in a while: take time to appreciate the moment. For the most part, we’ve enjoyed pretty nice weather here in Charlotte. Although the calendar clearly marked the beginning of fall back in late September, the temperatures mimicked summer. It was the beautiful blue skies filled with cotton-ball-like clouds, the warm temperatures with splashes of cool breezes, and the long lasting rays of sunshine glistening throughout.
It’s been nice, really nice, but lately, the weather here has been much cooler. No longer are we able to wear the same summer outfits, nor can we take advantage of the nice long days. But we do have something to be grateful for: The Essence of Fall.
Fall is beautiful here in Charlotte, North Carolina. Our abundance of lush green trees display magic-- changing leaves into beautiful masterpieces of golds, robin reds, sunburst oranges, and citrus. This year, is even more special. The magical show lasts longer due to the warmer days prior, causing the leaves to remain longer than usual. It’s been quite a while since I’ve witnessed the fall leaves on trees in mid November. Usually the show is over in October. Any traces left or a desire to see a late show required a 2 hour trip to the mountains. This year, is extra sweet as well as another example how nature can provide wonderful surprises for all to enjoy. What a special treat to witness the nice cool temperatures, fall décor and nature’s magic here in Charlotte. More time for family and/or friend gatherings, tailgating at the Carolina Panther's game, and warm firepits in the backyard! If you are thinking about making Charlotte, NC. your home, give me a call. You'll be right at home among many residents lucky enough to experience the beauty and environment mother nature offers here!
