Sharon High School Theatre Company Presents Shrek the Musical
I can't wait to see the Sharon High School Theatre Company production of "Shrek the Musical"! This theatre company's performances are always amazing!
Rehearsals started on the first day of school with rehearsals 4 to 5 days a week for 2 1/2 to 3 hours a day. Students are involved in every aspect from acting, choreography, singing and dancing, set design and construction, lighting, sound, costumes and props, publicity, hair, makeup and much more.

Performances begin November 21, 22 and 23 at 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday, November 24 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 for student and senior seating, $15 for general seating and $20 for reserved seating. You can buy tickets in advance online or at the door. Comes support the Theatre Company and enjoy a night of great music, dancing and comedy!
"Shrek the Musical" is not Shrek the movie. In the musical, you'll learn more about the characters' backgrounds while enjoying the same tongue-in-cheek humor as the movie. The show opened on Broadway in December 2008 and closed in January 2010. Fantastic music, including one of my favorites, "I'm a Believer", makes you want to jump to your feet and start dancing. (Guess my kids will not want to sit next to me!)
The Sharon High School Theatre Company Fall musical production is led by Drama Coach, Sandra Dennis, Assistant Drama Coach, Kayla Armstrong and Musical Director, Laura Frye. Thanks also to F.A.M.E. (Friends of Art and Music Education), a non-profit organization that supports art, drama and music in the Sharon Public Schools.
Wishing the entire company all the best!
