Small Business Owners in Atlanta - Are You Ready?

One of things I love most about living in the Downtown / Intown area of Atlanta is that we have some fabulous local businesses, boutiques and retail districts in almost every Atlanta neighborhood. It just adds to the charm of the area and almost everyone I know will go out of their way to "buy local" instead of shopping at the big box stores.
For those who own a small business in Atlanta, a BIG shopping day is coming up -- Shop Small Saturday! So if you own a small business, especially a retail store, it's time to get ready for Small Business Saturday on November 30, 2013.
American Express has gone all out this year and now offers Atlanta small business owners customized marketing materials. You can also join AMEX's Neighborhood Circle on Mightybell to discuss marketing strategies with your fellow small business owners.
If you aren't familiar with the Atlanta area, but want to "shop small" this holiday season, here were a few locally owned business districts I would recommend:
- Virginia Highland neighborhood (along North Highland Avenue)
- Downtown Decatur -- shops can be found in the Decatur Square as well as along West Ponce de Leon Ave)
- Buckhead (along Peachtree Road and side streets)
- Inman Park / Old Fourth Ward (along Highland Avenue)
If you have a business that you would like us to feature on our blog and facebook page, please call me at 404.432.1844. For everone else, I hope to see you around town (with lots of shopping bags) on November 30th!
