Good evening everyone-There are so many things to be thankful. Whether big or small they are all blessings. One thing that I am thankful for happened over the course of time of just doing. I took typing in school, again in college and then even got a typing tape at some point to learn to type without looking at the keys. All that never did the trick. What finally did. DOING IT and DOING it and DOING IT some more. One day I just noticed. Hey I am typing and not looking at the keyboard. WONDERFUL. A small but wonderful blessing.
Noah-That we do
Sharon-Neither did I.
Lou-I did that for a long time so I know YOU can do it
Alexandra-Thank you. Blessings are all that big or small
Beth-It isn't something you automatically think about
Kathy-I remember people in school who did that too. Never me though
Dorie-It is funny the things we don't think about
Sussie-I have tried those and it didn't seem to work for me
Gary-I have my own method as well. Not exactly standard but it works and that is what is important and your way doesn't surprise me knowing you
Michael-That did it for sure
HI Sharon..haven't seen you much in the rain lately, maybe it is our schedules :) How is kitty doing?
I have been sick with a cold and so I haven't been here as much and our schedules are probably different as I don't really hyave one. LOL Shadow is doing well Pesky as ever
I too went through a "worst part" of a cold for three days Sharon but am past it now. Hope you feel better soon!!
Gary-Thanks I am better just still congested with a runny nose and tired quickly. Now Mom is real sick.
As usual, practice makes perfect. Sorry to hear you've been feeling under the weather - colds are no fun. Hope your mom recovers quickly.
Debb-Thank you and you are right. Practice is the key. I am giving her cold meds, chicken soup but she almost has no voice and sounds terrible. I am on the mend. The tailend that seems to last too long
Sharon, a valuable skill, learning how to type! I learned it in high school, from one of the ancient teachers. My poor hubby is a one-fingered hunt-and-peck kinda guy, but I guess that works now for his iphone!
The only time I have to look at the keyboard is with numbers, never seemed to get that one down.
Sharon - how the heck would we write our blogs with it. Glad you pointed out that we really need it.
Gayle-I should have learned it in school or college but didn't and not even with one of those tapes but by doing it daily for several years I finally do pretty well. Not fast but fast enough plus it isn't good for the neck to be looking down so much. Many fellows do the hen and peck. Mine isn't the standard but a step or so above hen and peck.
Toni-It would take a lot longer for sure and it takes me long enough as it is. LOL

Sharon~ I had a typing class in school too and I did learn to type that way!
Sharon, I took shorthand and typing in school. My teacher couldn't understand why my typing was bad and all my other grades were excellent. It wasn't until the last day of school when I was helping her grade papers and she noticed I had a half finder (my ring finger, left hand). She said why didn't you tell me I could have helped you with your typing. Well, really no one knew. But I worked for a newspaper and did teletyping...my speed got to over 125 words a minute....a handicap I overcame!!
Rebecca-Good for you. We can overcome things like that if we have the will and determination and obviously you did. Did something happen to it or were you born with it like that?
Being able to type IS a wonderful blessing! I had a fantastic typing teacher in high school. He often had us listen to Zig Zigler instead of typing. So he taught us to type AND to have the right heart attitude. How cool is that?!
Joni-That is way cool. Smart teacher and wonderful student. YOU. Have a wonderful weekend'
Sharon, I love reading this. My mother always used to say "practice make perfect." Thankfully, once we get it right our muscles have memory ... and we just get better and faster at the skill.
Kathleen-Thank you< Practice sure did just that. I am happy i finally learned
Sharon, wow. I love how you can see thankfulness in the little things - that is a great quality to have!
I, too, am thankful for that gift. I have to glance at the keyboard every few seconds, however for the most part, I can kind of touch type. I can't imagine how slow it would be not being able to do that. I never thought of that as something to be thankful for, but now I do!
