Red-Tailed Hawk up in the Clouds

Up in the Clouds

Early this morning on an extremely overcast day, while walking I saw this Red-Tailed Hawk sitting up on a light post. I tried to get closer but he flew off as my dog must have disturbed his food hunt. Viewing nature is so exciting and always a surprise.

Hi Debb,

I love raptor birds too as they are so amazing. I do feel bad for the little snacks they find on the ground but I cannot fight the laws of nature.

Hi Patty,

He was so pretty and where I was, I could see him turning his head from left to right. So I am guessing he finally found something since he flew off.

Hi Than,

These light posts are really high and the clouds were really low. It was so cloudy that it might have been hard for him to find any little critters. I get a lot of pictures of the hawks but not very many in the clouds. Have a blessed day.

I thought I was watching several hawks fly overhead this morning. But then I put on my glasses and determined they were Turkey Buzzards:-)

Hi Myrl,

Sometimes a flock of Canada Geese fly by and they make a lot of noise. I think it might be too warm for turkeys here. They ought to keep on flying since Thanksgiving is coming.
