Get Ready to Sell Your Home!

 

And not for those 'usual' reasons, we all know about!

I attended an IMSD webinar today and was literally blown away by something new that I learned.

Oh, I knew 10 reasons why the seller should list a home and buyers should buy a home during the holiday season. It's a no-brainer. The home looks beautiful - almost staged for showtime and there is no competition. Only serious buyers and serious sellers are 'in the field' - and all of them motivated.

You get it, correct? In fact, Chad mentioned about these reasons as a 'supplimentary' or a few bullet points that many of us expect to be the reasons for selling the home during holiday season.

However, there are more convincing reasons than these. Thanks to Chad, Kris for this special webinar. Here they are....

1. They Are Home - Shopping Online!

We all know, most of the people now do their holiday shopping online! What better time it could be to promote your business online than this? (Google or Facebook Ads).

I'd re-phrase the BOLD slogan here -

They are home, They are happy shopping, They will list with YOU!

2. Tax Benefit:

Well, why not take advantage before the end of the year? There could be some tax benefits if they buy or sell before the end of the year.

3. They have time:

Yes, it's a holiday season - and people do take time off. They can alway preview the homes. In fact, along with their holiday shopping, they surely can shop for the home, too!

4. School Break:

The best time for relocation is during the school break, in summer or early fall. However, if they missed it during summer, the next best time is December. Like answering that question, 'The best time to plant trees was 20 years ago. The next best time is...NOW!'

5. New Business Contracts:

January is the time when most contracts are renewed or new projects are funded by corporate America. This is the time when relocation peaks. Why not take advantage of this time to help families relocate and find them their dream home?

6. Emotional Time:

I know people buy emotionally and then justify logically. The holiday season brings the families together. Wouldn't you agree this is the time of the year when emotions run very high? And when they see beautifully staged home, it's easy to fall in love with the place!

7. Highly Motivated Buyers or Sellers:

During summer, people buy homes just because....well, we all know why. If someone is looking to buy or sell the home during holidays, they are surely highly motivated buyers or sellers, isn't it?

8. Less Competition, Less Traffic:

Knowing that home shows really well and knowing that only serious buyers are going to stop by, no need to worry about keeping home in 'shape' (it is, already) and need not worry about heavy traffic, either. Sort of, best of both worlds!

Now here's my take:

In fact, in last 7 years, this is the first holiday season where we have heard the GOOD news about everything - including Real Estate Market. Market trends are showing a chart with a line going in the right direction - up - and mortgage interest rates are historically low - and are still within reach for most people to afford a new home.

So, why not make this season as a Best Home Selling Season?
