Those of us who suffer through desert summers in Mesa, Arizona, love to call our friends in the more "normal" states (normal = anywhere else) in November just to ask what the temperature is outside.
Well, yesterday, it was 91 degrees (at least) in Mesa. I was showing homes in the afternoon and thought I would die of heat stroke as my client looked and looked and looked at the south-facing, full sun backyard.
Even more shocking, I had to turn on the air conditioning in my home in the evening so I could get to sleep! (Full disclosure: I like it COLD when I'm sleeping.) A quick survey of my Mesa friends revealed that 100% of them had to turn their a/c on, too!
So this is not a post to brag about our great winters in Arizona. Bring on the 80s, or the 70s, or even the 60s. I do not want 90 degrees in November!
