The World is a Circle

Donna Foerster Gratitude is one of the strongest, if not the strongest and most powerful emotion for me.  It brings so much do my life.  I am hear to help is a daily mantra and I am grateful for the ability to do so. Great post.  Like.

Asking for help has always been a struggle of mine but anytime I do finally talk myself in to asking I always come away with a sense of frustration about myself that I didn't ask sooner.

Donna- i love your entry and you are so right.  Part of living in our world is allowing others to help us.  And then we in turn pass it on to others. 

Donna, I like this post!  In the words of the great Barbra Streisand "People who need people are the luckiest people in the world".  Good lesson here.  

What a wondefully written post and I couldn't agree more.  I love helping people out and I am not afraid to ask others for help.

Donna, I have always been one to help someone else before helping myself. However, I have always believed that what comes around goes around.

Donna - you are a wise lady. I've known many who could give but not take, and it's frustrating to be around them. For instance: I had an Aunt who always made me feel like I was the "poor relation" - the hick from the woods who couldn't afford to buy lunch, even when I had extended the invitation. 

I'm not at all fond of "takers," either the ruthless business person or the ones who are freeloading off the taxpayers. I love givers - but the best givers also know when it's time to receive and they do so graciously. 

Yes, yes, YES, Donna! Being self-assertive is a fine trait, but allowing others to do something good for you makes them feel so good and they may want to be "paying it forward" just as you want to! It is a circle. A continuous thread running through all us--unending. 

Truly.  Asking for help allows someone else to help.  Helping allows us to be people.  If someone's not asking, then someone's not giving.

It's good that you've found this profound wisdom which eludes many still.

Donna Foerster - I have to remember that I need to let others share their abilities to help them to grow. Not asking for help can be looked at as a selfish act.
