I hope you find this article from The Washington Post and the graphic as fascinating as I do:

Who we are: another way to explain - the 15 types of communities in the United States of America

From the African-American South to the Working Class Country, and from sea to shining sea, we live in some very diverse demographic areas.

I've moved around a lot, so I've lived in many of these different communities. Where have you lived? What is your community like now?

I know our area is EXTREMELY diversified.  I was in culture shock when I got out of my midwestern home town and moved here!

Hi Brad, my community now is mediam blue, but have lived in almost every coor on the map at one time or another. From the time I graduated from High School until now, everything has changed.  We lived in the Snob school area.  Now tha area has changed and the new snob school is about 10 miles away and of course all the neighborhoods have changed from no trees to Huge 75 ft trees.

I hear you, Larry. Lots of time and change. There's an old bluegrass song called "Tall Pine" about a man who comes back to his childhood home to see a tree that he planted years ago . . .
