If you're going to have a Facebook page, it only works when shared . . .
That was one of the takeaways from a workshop I attended today at SCCAOR (Santa Clara County Association of Realtors). I have begun one (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Foresee-The-Possibilities-Rebecca-Foresee/265019346978565) and like most everything else, it's a work in progress.
There were additional key points during this workshop hosted by EverBank and presented by Julia Wei from the Law Offices of Peter N. Brewer. Julia hasn't blogged in the rain so much lately, but does keep one going at http://dirtblawg.com/ for your information.
Back to topic: learning something new every day. Julia pointed out how easily people get into trouble by accident let alone deliberately misleading people.
We need to be clear in our correspondence that we are Realtors and that includes citing our license numbers. The SPAM police are out and misleading e-mail subject lines are on their hit list.
We spent a fair amount of time discussing attribute and disclaim if we don't KNOW something. (Can ya prove it?). There's also that hot topice we all see from time to time involving infringing on others - especially copyright. It's not a gray line; if it's not yours, don't use it without permission and that goes for photos too.
I came away with a list of mental "to-do" items of my own but did want to share another day in the life of a Realtor.
As always, let's foresee the possibilities . . . and get results!
