~ THANKFUL THURSDAY ~
If you're like me, you have a lot to be thankful for and you take things for granted. (more than you think you do). I am conscious of my actions and things around me. Well, at least I try to be. I enjoy the simple things in life. It could be a clean kitchen, a sunny day, etc. Today, I am thankful for my dog Wrigley. No matter what my day was like. No matter how I look. Wrigley greets me at the end of my day with a wagging tail. He makes me smile. He makes me relax and forget my troubles and stress. I believe everyone should be able to experience the unconditional love of a pet.
I adopted Wrigley from a pet shelter almost 2 years ago. I don't know what his past was or how he ended up in a shelter. I just know that we rescued one another. On November 12, 2011 I had to put my beloved Kobi to sleep due to an incureable blood disorder. It was about 6 weeks of going home to an empty house. I couldn't take it any more. I went to the Denver Dumb Friends League in Denver and the Buddy Center in Castle Rock, which is an extension of the Denver location. As soon as I saw Wrigley (or Zeus, which is what the shelter named him), I knew I had found my new companion!
