New Construction Starts Early at Brock Built's West Highlands

This morning I met with my client at his new home being built in the West Highlands at 7:50AM.  That is really early for an appointment for me, but I believe in great service which sometimes happens outside of the normal business hours.

West Highlands is located in the city of Atlanta in West Midtown.  Homes in West Highlands started to built in 2004, and the building continues today.  West Highlands has a 'park like' feel when you take a stroll through the green space.  It will be next door to the new city park projected to be twice the size of Atlanta's Piedmont Park. The framing of the home is about 99% complete.  There are a few changes that Barry, the builder from Brock Built, plan to make to finish the framing.

We were there to meet with Barry about the placement of the cable and phone outlets and the placement of the speakers in the house.   This 'Pre Drywall' Walk Through took about 45 minutes.  The buyer is very detailed about how he wants things done, so we took our time getting all of the locations for the outlets and speakers  identified throughout the home.

As we were going through our meeting, I noticed all of the other construction that was happening in our phase of West Highlands.  It is a real boost to see so much new construction happening in West Highlands this morning. 

Brock Built has a great reputation for building a quality eco-friendly home.  We could see the evidence of the Brock Built quality in my buyer's home.  For example there was a special material applied to the under side of the roofing.  The builder explained that this material will help to keep the attic cool during the summer and warm in the winter.  Also in keeping with the craftman style theme of my buyer's home, the windows on the front of the home have the craftsman style design.

West Highlands is continuing to expand and Brock Built is developing ground for a whole new phase scheduled to start sometime in 2014.  You gotta love the early morning energy of new construction.
